the herring swoops low,
slicing the water-mirror -
fracturing sunset
jagged lightning streaks
scribble across darkened sky
low thunder mutters
rusted yellow truck
in a dandelion field
how bright the noon sun
how the wide river
always submits to the sea
halo of the moon
Floating butterfly
Fresh feathery wings hold her
Poised in the blue sky
ribbon of silver
sky tangles high-rise dreams whirl
balloon hearts take flight
baseball on TV
sound of bats making contact
under clear blue skies
a flock of starlings,
just so, like flecks of pepper
sprinkled on the moon
yellow sunflowers
paradise to many birds
turn to face the sun
the harvest moon shines
solitary traveler
stops to rest awhile
saffroned winter sun
caught amid the leafless trees
sky of frosting clouds
earth bows to the sun
prelude to a masterpiece
spring fills its palette
geese fly overhead
at the cabin dusk settles
a silent river
Window candles glow
Lighthouse beams guide sailing ships
Moon plays with the stars
midnight serenade
velvet sky donned in diamonds
waltzing silouettes
sun spills burgundy
sea drunk on late summer light
waves stumble on rocks
Swollen russet heads
nod sun-stained petals to earth
in summer's last sigh
Sunlight through the prism--
this light waterfall is me
reflecting a cloud.
heavy clouds descend
beach plunges into gray gloom
sky is lost at sea
Faded firefly grave
Moonlight in our sky above
Rusty iron fence
I dream while night sleeps
stars come and drink from my hand
love simple abounds
Open road stretching
Sunshine paled by dark lenses
The spice of freedom
Your rich white spotlight
Throws wavy pink stripes westward
Once in a blue moon
Hollowed out logs lie
sun-drenched within a clearing-
stress evaporates.
Purple peony
salutes a radiant sun
shuns the dark of night
bees flit through velvet
sway of sedge and pink foxglove
sun-dried clouds soak earth
trees swollen with leaves
a red ball low in the sky
crimson foliage
on old sand scrubbed brick
senorita arching high
loves miles of blue sky
Under a half-moon
is a determined cricket
live and in concert
walking through the park
dewdrops reflect the full moon
winter night in bloom
Fireflies dancing
The stars play a melody
Only lovers know
dawn meditation
laughing at my arrogance
little brother loon
I'm starting over
just like every day does
sunrise, a bird song
Stubs of brown corn stalks.
Songbirds silently wend south.
Clouds lower the sky.
waiting for the post
the sun preening like a bird
fourth tuesday of june
Gold floods morning sky.
Black night sheds star-swept lining.
Onward comes the day.
