red-winged blackbird’s flight
among the summer rainfall
a blue sky promise
nightly reflections
moonlight spills liquid silver
across the water
shobo-ji temple
between sunshine and shadow
a hum of chanting
Dancing clouds shape dreams
Streaking sun warms summer's grass
Universal peace
warm sunshine beckons
dragonflies dance on the threads
woven in my dress
Growling skies throw swords
The wind throws rocks and branches
Clouds begin to spit
First springtime cricket
Dawn chorus percussionist
Raindrops answering
The sobbing half moon
lost in a starless night sky
watches predators
sun ignites treetops
explosion of autumn flames
vibrant fall tresses
Trickling vernal pools
Sparkling in the new day sun
Springtime elixir
young fawn so docile
nibbling leaves, a blurred green feast
sunlight shade from trees
Plowed fields await seeds
Swirling clouds of ocher dust
Parched till the sky cries
For Love, Happiness
Clear Endless Montana Skies
My Eternal Greed
Sunlight magnified
Drops of dew on fallen leaves
Bubbles of delight
At dusk a lantern
moves through an old barn, lighting
each window in turn.
Tiny flakes float down.
White stars against dark canvas,
Stark in lantern light.
Half in dusk, half light
The tree offers up its shade
Murals in the leaves
sun sinks behind sea
shades of blue ripen in sky
moon illuminates
fingers freezing dry
withered grass in late winter
grey sky closes in
ball of glowing gnats
tumble in morning sunlight
never touch the ground
golden rays reaching
sapphire skies beckoning flight
forests calling forth
Formidable cloud
descends from trees at dusk, crows
keen to assess me
winter reverie
sky appareled in patches
my thoughts piled in drifts
Above the red plains
and below the morning sun,
the swallowtail floats
Nurseries for stars
With countless worlds to blossom
From bright, neon clouds
Adrift, weeping sea
violet sky, zeal & lust
but a dolent kiss
Grazing time at dawn.
A bellwether leads his flock
to dew-covered grass.
Cat with yellow eyes
on the pillow by my head
stretch to meet the dawn
Clouds billow and spread,
Soaking up the emptiness,
Mopping up the sky.
trees, scent from nature.
fragrant blossoms, needles, blooms.
gifts, sent from heaven.
cricket on my porch
4 AM longing and thirst
full moon sliding past
Roseate Spoonbills
travelling west with their own
piece of the sunset
fading horizon
black trees, wispy clouds, bright stars
nautical twilight
Drowning sun beams shoot
Water is hungry stained glass
Slicing chromatic
Slanted morning sun
falls on a red butterfly,
wings folded to pray.
late afternoon sun
through the used bookstore window
smell of old paper
