Billowing white sheets
grow tame beneath the dark clouds
as the rain comes clean
breeze intensifies
fluttering daisy petals
- whirlwind of delight
A chill wind brings tears
Nothing brings light to the heart
Like a happy dog
Snow-covered pansies
Insulated from harsh cold
Fitly re-emerge
Moonbeams shimmer soft
Cicadas serenade dawn
Warm breeze caresses
blue violet clouds
dipped in fuchsia finger paint
endless stretch of road
sudden wind rises
tiny, silver ripples dance
across city pond
Twilight cools the earth
wind chimes tremble and shimmer
a new moon rises.
Low tide on the breeze
Sun inches up with promise
Salt troubles old wounds
Carpet of fresh snow
stretches unblemished on lawn
awaiting footprints
cricket in my wall
safe from freezing rain and wind
calling for a friend
Downhill ride, so chill.
Light breezes brushing my face,
calming my last nerve.
rain-filled clouds push in
blanketing a fiery sun.
unquenched light cascades...
Thunder in the sun
Ice berg in the desert sand
Autumn in the air
Silver raindrop hangs
Sun-kissed, it falls to the wind
Carried down to earth
after last night's storm
my neighbor's old trampoline
slanted, still standing
Crows on the bleachers
Breeze blows clouds across the track
We're moving on soon
The wind wakes up life
Captured in a white bone cage
In the wake of death
moonlight on crisp snow
one year gone, one rolling in
rocking, changing life
let the sunlight stream
through your hair just like the wind
through the trees in Spring
Youth-endowing snow
All earthly wrinkles smoothing
Turning adult child
hardy dogwood stems
appear, jutting through the snow,
awaiting springtide
when I am confused.
even the wind can't decide
go east or head south
Waterfalls drizzle
Gentle waves rock the surface
A cave rests behind
leaf-rot is fading
air now tastes of light and snow
on new hunting grounds
Across the city
the distant snow capped mountains
echoes of winter
Gray skies and cold times,
The rain and wind will collide,
Sad lives and good-byes.
sunlight slants through clouds
bright patch of sunshine wanders
among wildflowers
first a grain of sand
tumbles down the wind swept dunes
hitches out of town
cool wind on my arms
breezes caressing my hair
fall flirting again
Dreaming of summer
Clouds bring the bite of winter
Ice cold kitten toes
in dreams through the sash
snow tires and a clink of chain
transport me away
cumulus clouds stalk
lupine's sun soaking petals
summer memory
clouds on the mountain
watching from my cottage door
I grip my teacup
limbs shed yellow leaves
dropping and shooting in wind
stars sit on sidewalks
pair of owls night-dance
enfolding the balsam pine
snow embroidery
