Clouds billow and spread,
Soaking up the emptiness,
Mopping up the sky.
Willow branches dance
Warm breeze across the water
Mother calls me home
delicate flower
sways in the warm mountain breeze
without a worry
Summer fog rolls in.
Dewdrops bead the blooming rose.
Breathe the scented air.
fading horizon
black trees, wispy clouds, bright stars
nautical twilight
Meditative sounds
Of rain nourishing plant life
Reminiscent walks
Fall winds gust up skirts
Blowing high bright colored leaves
Exposing bare limbs.
Warm-stemmed mint wind bends
Soft purple bursts of crocus
White rain spits silver
jagged lightning streaks
scribble across darkened sky
low thunder mutters
Deer pause to listen -
Lullaby of wind whispers
Woodpecker applauds
By the banyan trunk
Shelter from the thunderstorm
Lightning still rages
cold mists carry scent
satisfied in scarlet snow
memories of spring
saffroned winter sun
caught amid the leafless trees
sky of frosting clouds
black skeleton trees
winter bones against the snow
frantic geese fly south
It's immutable-
the darkness before the storm,
then the lightening.
kernels of sleet fall
on the cobblestone pavement
winter not quite yet
above the waters,
over deciduous trees,
covenant rainbow
breezes bring poems
riding stallion latitudes
galloping rhythms
Son climbing boulder
Taller than your little self
Leap into a cloud
through lowering clouds
the nickled light of morning
tentatively peers
Moisture dribbles down
fogged coffee shop window panes.
Snow quilts hide pickups.
cold October rain
tea growing cool in brown mug
muted household sounds
Sunlight through the prism--
this light waterfall is me
reflecting a cloud.
Freshly fallen snow,
bird tracks layered with raccoon
scribe hieroglyphics.
narrow steep stone steps
guide hot feet to soft smooth sand
breathe in cool sea breeze
heavy clouds descend
beach plunges into gray gloom
sky is lost at sea
feathers on the path
a wind among yellow leaves
with birds on its breath
your love is cool rain
falling on the arid scene
quenching desert thirst
bees flit through velvet
sway of sedge and pink foxglove
sun-dried clouds soak earth
The trees are humming,
Like they need to let off steam.
The wind train passes.
A season of change
Inevitably follows
One leaf in the wind
rainfall on puddles --
thousands of perfect circles
circle a circle
Dark, towering clouds
Afternoon showers bathe trees
New puddles for frogs
Stubs of brown corn stalks.
Songbirds silently wend south.
Clouds lower the sky.
Air after rain hangs
Silent. Fawn-spotted birches
Stretch, spindly, to sky.
lake frozen over
a falling leaf lands gently
ice cracks like lightning
