Larsen, Ellen
A native of Ohio I took an interest in haiku while studying Japanese at Kent State University. From there I began to study classic haiku poets like Basho, Shiki, Busson, and Issa as well as modern haiku poets like Richard Wright. I feel that my haiku portray both classical and modern elements. There is a simplistic joy in writing haiku and I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading mine as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
